(alphabetical order)

Known for his hard hitting enforcement on the ice and positive attitude in the dressing room and public domain, our foundation's co-founder Aaron Downey sets a fine example of what putting heart and spirit into your work can do for yourself and others. Growing up in Shelburne, Ontario on one of Canada's largest potato farms, Aaron feels blessed by having nature as part of his training ground.

A great family and like minded community in support of healthy team activities such as hockey also acted as seeds for his success.

Since very early childhood Aaron knew that he wanted to play for the National Hockey League. With the support of family, friends, teachers and coaches, and by maintaining focus, hard work and dedication, many of his dreams met and continue to meet his aspirations. He shares his available time with others in the most beneficial of ways, focusing on health, happiness, and creating for ourselves and others the great things that life has to offer.

During the 07/08 and 08/09 seasons Aaron played for his 4th Original 6 Team, The Detroit Red Wings, (2008 Stanley Cup Champions). He has also played for the Montreal Canadiens,
St. Louis Blues, Dallas Stars, Chicago Blackhawks, and Boston Bruins.
With Aaron's passion for teaching, sharing, teamwork, and making our world a more positive place, he is helping build this network of care and support for those seeking to pursue their dreams. He is currently in the best shape of his life so another comeback and Stanley Cup Championship is surely possible.

Trevor Downey, Aaron's brother, currently plays as a forward for the Shelburne Muskies hockey team in the WOAA Senior AA league. He is a co-founder of the House9 Hockey Foundation and brings with him many successful years of experience in networking, accounting, product and project development, sales and marketing.

Always working towards the best for all involved and in the heartfelt spirit of family, Trevor has played an integral role in building the Downey Farms business to the level that it operates at today.

While applying the same great moral code and dedication, Trevor brings with him the support of many like minded friends, citizens, and local businesses who are helping us make a positive difference.

Shawn is our fellow co-founder and the original creator of the house9® name and trademark. The symbol and name first came into use with the world's first '999' clothing line that he launched in west coast surf and skate shops in 1996. In 2008 the trademark became the proud symbol of our House9 Hockey Foundation.

With a background in public relations, special event coordination, promotions, security and technical support, Shawn brings with him over 20 years of diverse work experience. He has worked for such companies as Via Rail, Canada's passenger rail system,  Microsoft, Shell, as well as  held numerous VIP/Celebrity and special event security positions both in Vancouver and Montreal since 1993. He is also a Reiki Master Teacher registered with the International Center for Reiki Training and has been practicing the complimentary healing therapy Reiki since 1997.

A dedicated and valued member of our team, Shawn helps in maintaining the website as well as assisting us in event planning and coordination.

Returning to the Colorado Avalanche roster with a well deserved 2 year contract is our foundation's fellow member since the start, Kyle Quincey. This past season Kyle led his team in average ice time and a record career high of 6 goals for a total of 29 points in 79 games. Prior to first signing with Colorado last year, Kyle was the Los Angeles Kings leading defensemen in assists, points and shots in the 2008/2009 season and he continues to demonstrate the value of hard work and determination both on and off the ice. Growing up in Ontario, Canada, amongst a number of highly skilled and talented players in the Ontario Hockey League, Kyle was soon one of the OHL's top All-Star defensemen, and voted best "defensive defensemen" by the league's coaches in the 04/05 Eastern Conference.

His hard work and high performance led Kyle to sign with the Detroit Red Wings the following season (05/06), where he was playing alongside future Hall-of-Fame defensemen Chris Chelios and Nicklas Lidstrom, absorbing as much knowledge and experience as possible before being picked up by the LA Kings while on waivers with Detroit. He met Aaron Downey when Aaron first came to play for the Detroit Red Wings in the 07/08 season. They became good friends and Kyle was one of the first to get involved and support the House9 Hockey Foundation.

Training with Aaron in the 07/08 season didn't hurt his Offensive Defensemen game either. With former Toronto Maple Leafs Bill Berg as one of his top childhood idols, it's no wonder Kyle's work ethic and success mirrors that of the hockey great he's admired from the start. Kyle is an active member of our foundation, a role model to our up and coming young hockey stars and a team player we are proud of.

Aside from being the Deputy Mayor of Mulmur, Ontario, as well as the Head of Safe Communities of the Hill Country, Vice President of Child Find Ontario and Child Find Canada, a Police Services Board Chair and a hockey coach, Sue Snider still has found the time to help us immensely.

Sue is our volunteer in charge of accounting as well as receiving and screening applications and getting children sponsored, suited up and on the ice playing hockey. She has also been a big help with the event planning and coordination. We are grateful for her kind and dedicated support.
